Knowsley Youth Offending Service

Knowsley Youth Offending Service is a multi-agency service working to the Youth Justice Plan. It brings together the expertise of partners such as Social Services, Police, Education, Probation, health and voluntary organisations involved with children and young people, aged 10 to 17, in order to prevent offending or reoffending.
The Team focuses quite clearly on young people and contains a range of projects designed to divert them from offending and anti-social behaviour.
Knowsley Youth Offending Service will help young people make more positive choices about their futures, rather than offending, and so minimise the cost of crime to the people of Knowsley.
If such young people grow into persistent young offenders then it is not just their problem, it is everybody's.
The Team has already been responsible for the development of the Youth Inclusion Programme with other partners within the Borough.
